This German couple opted to have an officiated ceremony live-streamed for their loved ones. They met they years ago when they were church volunteers and were legally married in January 2020, but the wedding blessing in March was meant to be celebrated with 250 friends and loved ones. A week before their wedding, Germany banned gatherings of more than 50 people. They considered limiting the event to 50, but opted instead to have just their parents, siblings and pastor present for the ceremony.
