The month of Ashadh is the fourth month of the Hindu calendar. According to Purnimant, this month will start from 6 June and will end on 5 July 2020 the following month. Jagannath Rath Yatra is one of the major festivals of Ashadha month. Sun and Goddess are also worshiped in this month and in the same month, from the day of Devshayani Ekadashi, Shri Hari goes for Vishnu sleeping due to which it is forbidden to perform auspicious works for the next four months. It is also known as Chaturmas.

आषाढ़ का महीना हिन्दू पंचांग का चौथा महीना है। पूर्णिमांत के अनुसार यह महीना 6 जून से प्रारंभ होगा और अगले महीने 5 जुलाई 2020 को समाप्त होगा। आषाढ़ मास के प्रमुख त्योहारों में जगन्नाथ रथयात्रा है। इस महीने में सूर्य और देवी की भी उपासना की जाती है और इसी महीने देवशयनी एकादशी के दिन से श्री हरि विष्णु शयन के लिए चले जाते हैं जिसके कारण अगले चार माह तक शुभ कार्यों को करने की मनाही है। इसे चतुर्मास के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।
