Sukhoi Su-57, 5th-Generation Stealth Fighter Jets Escort Putin's Presidential Plane.
For the first time in history, the world is seeing such aerobatics as those performed by a group of Russian fifth-generation fighter jets.
Su-57s rose up in the sky above Astrakhan to form an honor escort for the presidential airliner.
Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has arrived in the Russian town of Akhtubinsk for an inspection of new weapons systems and aircraft as part of a series of defence meetings in May.
Putin is also set to hold a meeting on the socio-economic development of the Astrakhan region.
When approaching the town, a formation of six Su-57s escorted the president's plane IL-96-300PU. The cutting-edge fighters took off from an airfield at the Chkalov State Flight Test Centre to meet the head of state's aircraft.
Putin inspected an array of advanced weapon systems, including the Kh-47M2 Kinzhal air-launched hypersonic missile and the modified MiG-31 Foxhound aircraft capable of carrying it. This is one of six super weapons the Russian President revealed in 2018
