Red alert for north Indian states as heat wave intensifies

The India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert, used for a severe heat wave, for Delhi for Monday and Tuesday. Besides Delhi, a red alert has also been issued by the weather department for Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Rajasthan for May 25 and 26. IMD has issued orange warning for eastern Uttar Pradesh.
