African Swine Flu has claimed the lives of around 13,000 pigs in Assam. The Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Minister of Assam Atul Bora visited the Kaziranga National Park to review the situation. The authorities of Kaziranga National Park have dug a canal in Agoratoli range to deter wild boars from going to nearby villages, in order to save them from the disease. असम में अफ्रीकी स्वाइन फ्लू के संक्रमण से पिछले कुछ दिनों में 13 हजार से अधिक सूअरों की मौत हो गई है। इस संक्रमण ने राज्य के नौ जिलों को अपने चपेट में ले लिया है. इससे पशुपालन में लगे सैकड़ों लोगों की आजीविका प्रभावित हुई है। सरकार की ओर से जारी एक बयान के मुताबिक संक्रमण पहले 6 जिलों में फैला था. जिसमें अब तीन और जिले शामिल हो गए हैं.
