Dramatic moment avalanche hurtles towards village in north India

Dramatic footage shows an avalanche slowly descending a steep terrain in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.
The incident took place near Pangi village in Kinnaur district on April 30.
According to reports, people were working in the apple orchards when they suddenly heard sounds of thunder coming from the hills.
Following this, they spotted thick ice descending the hill slope towards the village.
According to sources, the construction of a highway and the excavation due to a power project on the mountain range could have triggered the avalanche.
The incident left several orchards destroyed.
No casualties have been reported after the incident.
