A warehouse fire in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do Province took 38 lives.
During a briefing this morning, authorities announced 38 workers were found dead, 8 severely injured and 2 sustained minor injuries before returning home...following Wednesday's blaze.
29 of the deceased have been identified.
Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun asked related authorities to determine the cause of the fire and emphasized the need to check if all necessary safety guidelines were followed.
He also asked for practical solutions and ways to maintain safety of workers so that this type of tragedy never occurs again.
