Chinese woman attacks pharmacy staff after being refused medicine without registration

A Chinese woman attacked a member of staff at a pharmacist after she was refused fever-reducing medicine without completing registration during COVID-19 pandemic.

In the video, shot in the city of Dongguan in Guangdong Province on April 10, a woman suddenly took off her hat and mask, then grabbed a box of medicine on the table and shouted at the pharmacy staff "I will beat you to death!".

Since the woman attempted to leave with the medicine, the staff went to chase her. However, the woman started to beat the staff repeatedly until she said sorry and ran out of the pharmacy to ask for help.

According to local reports, residents have to register their information if they buy medicines for reducing their fever during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The woman was taken to the police station for investigation and she confessed her illegal action.

Police fined and detained her for 10 days, reports said.
