Lunch time! Hundreds of iguanas gather for food on Mexican farm
  • 4 years ago
This is the moment thousands of hungry iguanas crowded round their keeper to have their lunch.

The reptiles swarmed round the worker at the Uma La Cabana wildlife management in Chiapas, Mexico on April 7. They live in the centre where they are bred for their meat.

Founded in 2006, the facility currently houses over 27,000 green iguanas. Iguana meat has historically been a part of the culinary traditions of Mexico and other parts of Central America.
