Big Box Stores Banned From Selling Certain Items

According to Business Insider, some big box retailers and grocery chains in the US are being told they can no longer sell non-essential items.
This includes stores like Walmart, Costco, and Target in places like Indiana and Vermont.
Some local governments have issued executive orders banned the sell of non-essential items, asking the stores to empty or rope off areas with items like clothing and electronics.
The goal is to reduce foot traffic and stop the spread of coronavirus.
Some Retail workers complained that shoppers were lingering in stores, looking at non-essential items because they were "bored at home" putting workers at greater risk.
Vermont's Agency of Commerce and Community Development Secretary Lindsay Kurrle said "We are directing these stores to put public health first and help us reduce the number of shoppers."
