세계가 극찬한 한국의 코로나19 그래프...다른 나라와 비교해보니

South Korea reported around 50 new coronavirus cases for the third day in a row today, a signficiant decrease from even just a couple of weeks ago.
But, while the outbreak in Europe appears be showing signs of a slow down, figures in the U.S. in particular continue to spike.
Our Kan Hyeong-woo takes a look at the statistics.
For an overview, let's take a look at certain COVID-19-hit countries' virus curves, fatality and recovery rates.
The worst of the coronavirus outbreak appears to be nearing its end in South Korea and China as the number of newly confirmed cases continues to fall in both countries.
Italy and Spain have seen their figures soar since the beginning of March,...but the number of new cases appears to be leveling off.
Meanwhile, the U.S. and the UK might not have seen their apex yet.
Numbers have skyrocketed since mid March...and the U.S., in particular, has seen exponential growth in the number of COVID-19 patients.
For these six countries, the death toll appears to follow the same trend as the total number of confirmed cases does.
South Korea and China have recorded fewer deaths as time went on.
Although Italy and Spain are still reporting hundreds of additional deaths each day,...the curves are beginning to flatten.
But the U.S. and the UK may need to brace themselves for the worst yet...as both are seeing an increase in the number of deaths.
In terms of fatality rates,...Italy tops not just these five countries but the entire world.
South Korea has maintained one of the lowest fatality rates.
A large number of patients in South Korea and China have made full recoveries...while Italy and Spain are focusing their efforts on treating patients.
The World Health Organization has warned against the early lifting of any countermeasures.
WHO spokesperson Christian Lindmeier said it's important to "not to let go of the measures too early" in order to avoid another wave of infections.
