Expect 'tsunami-like third wave' if M'sians ignore order, warns Health DG

The public must stay home and practice social distancing or the Covid-19 outbreak will become worse, warned Health Ministry director-general Noor Hisham Abdullah.

"Failure is not an option. If not, we might face a third wave which will be bigger, like a tsunami, if we have the 'tidak kisah' (couldn't care less) attitude.

"I urge all Malaysians, please take the movement control order seriously. Stay home and don't go out," he wrote on his Facebook page.

He said Malaysia only has a small window to break the Covid-19 transmission chain.
