Anti-Polanski protesters greet French film awards ceremony
  • 4 years ago
The French "Oscars" took place in Paris on Friday amid protests by women’s rights activists against director Roman Polanski who was awarded, in his absence, "Best Director" for his latest film.
Polanski decided to skip the Cesar awards to avoid a "lynching" amid accusations that he was a "molester" and a "rapist". Polanski's film, “An Officer and a Spy” received 12 nominations.
