India's Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane said New Zealand will be the favourites in the two-Test series starting Friday at (February 20) the Basin Reserve considering they will be playing in their home conditions. The India vice-captain further advised young wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant to accept the fact that he is going through a rough patch and therefore work on his shortcomings. Pant, who till five months ago was India's first choice wicketkeeper-batsman across formats, has lost his spot in limited-overs to KL Rahul and red-ball place to Wriddhiman Saha.

भारतीय टेस्ट टीम के उपकप्तान अजिंक्य रहाणे ने मैच से ऋषभ पंत को लेकर बड़ा बयान दिया है. रहाणे ने कहा है कि ऋषभ पंत को फिलहाल पॉजिटिव सोचना चाहिए. और उन्हें खुद पर फोकस करना चाहिए. गौरतलब है कि ऋषभ पंत लिमिटेड ओवर में अब दूसरे विकेटकीपर हो गए हैं. उनकी जगह केएल राहुल ने ले ली है. साथ ही लगातार अच्छा प्रदर्शन कर राहुल वनडे और टी20 के मुख्य विकेटकीपर बन चुके हैं. दूसरी ओर, टेस्ट टीम में रिधिमान साहा के होते हुए ऋषभ पंत को प्लेयिंग इलेवन में शामिल नहीं किया जा सकता. ऐसे में ऋषभ पंत के पास बेंच पर बैठने के अलावा फिलहाल कुछ बचा नहीं है.
