The Public Safety Act has also been imposed on Shah Faesal, the topper of the 2011 batch of IAS and founder of Jammu and Kashmir People's Movement. The charges under which the PSA has been imposed on Shah Faisal have not been confirmed yet. Faesal was detained at Delhi Airport in August last year. He was going from Delhi to Istanbul. After which he was brought from Delhi to Srinagar and under house arrest.

IAS के 2011 बैच के टॉपर और जम्मू-कश्मीर पीपुल्स मूवमेंट के संस्थापक शाह फैसल पर भी पब्लिक सेफ्टी एक्ट लगा दिया गया है. शाह फैसल पर किन आरोपों के तहत PSA लगाया गया है, अभी इसकी पुष्टि नहीं हो पाई है. फैसल को पिछले साल अगस्त में दिल्ली एयरपोर्ट से हिरासत में लिया गया था. वह दिल्ली से इस्तांबुल जा रहे थे. जिसके बाद उन्हें दिल्ली से श्रीनगर लाया गया और उन्हें उनके घर में नजरबंद कर दिया गया
