LeBron James Family Foundation
Offers Free College Tuition On Feb. 12, Kent State announced its partnership
with the LeBron James Family Foundation, offering four years of free tuition and one year of free
room and board to 193 current high school juniors. The recipients belong to the
first group of children to be
incorporated into LeBron James’
I PROMISE program. According to Michele Campbell, executive director
of the Lebron James Family Foundation, the incredible
gift was “earned” by the students. Michele Campbell,
via WKYC Studios Kent State is also launching a fundraising effort for
the students to help with with additional expenses. Kent State President Todd
Diacon, via WKYC Studios In order to remain eligible for the scholarship,
the students will have to maintain a set GPA, stay
in good standing and participate in volunteer work.
