We should question security lapses in Pulwama attack: CPI’s Md Salim

On the anniversary of Pulwama attack, CPI (M) leader Md Salim stood firmly on demanding a probe of tracking source of RDX used in the attack on Pulwama attack. “The report of NIA inquiry says that the RDX was collected in a small quantity. There is nothing to celebrate in this as our soldiers lost their lives one year ago. We express our sympathy with the families. The responsibility of the government is to rehabilitate the families of those Jawans economically, physically and psychologically. Most of them were sons of farmers. We should ensure that it wouldn’t happen in the future. We should analyze where the failure is.” He further said, “The question is how the state actors and nonstate actors succeeded in collecting a huge amounts of the RDX. Why our soldiers are traveling in such a manner that the information was leaked. The entire route has to be sanitized before such a conveyer moves. We should identify that how many Devender Singhs’ were involved in it. There are multiple intelligence agencies and they were only collecting information. We should ask why the security had lapsed.”
