Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on January 5 expressed regret following a security breach in Prime Minister Modi’s convoy near Hussainiwala in Ferozepur. “I express regret that PM Modi had to return during his visit to Ferozepur district,” said Punjab CM. “We had asked PMO to discontinue the visit due to protests. We had no information on Prime Minister’s sudden route change. We offered a helicopter, but the convoy decided to continue on the route. There was no security lapse during the PM visit,” claimed CM Channi.
