Chinese PLA officers charged with stealing personal data of Americans in Equifax credit agency hack

The US Justice Department has charged four members of the Chinese military with the 2017 hacking of Equifax, America’s largest credit reporting agencies. In charges filed February 10, 2020, Wu Zhiyong, Wang Qian, Xu Ke and Liu Lei were accused of stealing data of roughly 145 million Americans in one of the largest hacks in history.
