Vaccine for new coronavirus unlikely to be ready before outbreak is over, says Sars expert

Dr John Nicholls is a clinical professor at the University of Hong Kong who studies influenza viruses including the one behind the deadly 2002-2003 outbreak of severe acute respiratory syndrome (Sars). His current work is focused on the new 2019-ncov coronavirus, which he says is “replicating more rapidly than many other viruses”.
