To curb criminalization in Indian politics, the Election Commission of India has said in the Supreme Court that all efforts have been made but still it has not been stopped. The Election Commission suggested to the court that political parties should be told that they should be of criminal background. Do not give tickets to the candidates. The court directed the commission to create a framework for the purpose of preventing criminalization of politics in the country. Inside are to appear in court.

भारतीय राजनीति में अपराधिकरण रोकने के लिए भारत निर्वाचन आयोग ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट में कहा है कि तमाम कोशिशें की गयीं लेकिन फिर भी इस पर रोक नहीं लग पायी.चुनाव आयोग ने कोर्ट को सुझाव दिया कि राजनीतिक दलों से कहा जाना चाहिए कि वे आपराधिक पृष्ठभूमि के उम्मीदवारों को टिकट न दें.वहीं कोर्ट ने आयोग को निर्देश दिया कि वह देश में राजनीति के अपराधीकरण को रोकने के मद्देनजर रूपरेखा बनाकर एक सप्ताह के अंदर अदालत में पेश करे.
