Lalu Yadav produced before special CBI court in fodder scam case

Former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav was produced before a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court on January 16. He was produced before the court in connection with a fodder scam case. Lalu Prasad Yadav is currently undergoing medical treatment at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Jharkhand’s Ranchi. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo is serving jail term for fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 3.5 crore from the Dumka treasury by Animal Husbandry Department officials between 1991 and 1996 when Lalu Prasad Yadav was the undivided state’s chief minister.
