देश आज 72वां सेना दिवस मना रहा है। एक तरफ सेना के साहस को सलाम किया जा रहा है तो दूसरी तरफ सेना ने अपने शौर्य को भी दिखाया। सेना दिवस पर कैप्टन तानिया शेरगिल ने इतिहास रच दिया है। वो आर्मी परेड में पुरुषों की टुकड़ी का नेतृत्व करने वाली पहली महिला अधिकारी बनी हैं। तानिया शेरगिल गणतंत्र दिवस परेड में भी सेना की टुकड़ी का नेतृत्व करेंगी। ऐसा पहली बार है जब किसी महिला अधिकारी ने आर्मी डे परेड को लीड किया है।
