Thai authorities have confirmed the first case outside China of a new strain of coronavirus first discovered in the Chinese city of Wuhan. A 61-year-old Chinese woman was found to be suffering from a fever upon her arrival at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport on January 8, 2020, Thai officials said on January 13. They said the woman no longer has a fever or respiratory symptoms and is ready to return home.
