Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Dec 21: While talking about the National Register of Citizens (NRC), Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel said that he will follow the path of Mahatma Gandhi and will not sign on the National Register of Citizens (NRC) register.

He said, “There are more than 2 crore people in the state and half of them won't be able to prove their citizenship as they don't have any land record. If there are illegal infiltrators, the govt agencies should nab them. While we are celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, I will follow his path & will not sign on the National Register of Citizens (NRC) register. I will not accept it. I will be the first person not to sign on the NRC register”.
