The FM and her team have started holding pre-budget discussions with various stakeholders to understand the demands of different sectors. Today, the finance minister held her third such meeting, this time with representatives from industry, trade and services sector. President of CII Vikram Kirloskar, FICCI's Sandip Somany and Assocham's Deepak Sood were some of the key industry representatives at the meeting. The stakeholders discussed issues like the regulatory environment and measures to boost exports, they focussed on reduction of compliance burden and tax litigation, allowing self-certification in low risk industries and decriminalisation of tax and company laws among others. Parikshit Luthra spoke with Vikram Kirloskar to know more about the industry's suggestions to the FM.
