A swimming pool shakes violently causing waves inside a resort in General Santos City, the Philippines during a strong earthquake on December 15.

Guests were having their office Christmas party when they felt the 6.8-magnitude earthquake.

It has killed at least seven people, including those trapped inside a collapsed supermarket in Padada town.

This has been the strongest in the series of powerful quakes felt in the Mindanao region in the last two months.

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said the quake hit South Cotabato at 2:11pm local time. Officials confirmed there were a number of aftershocks across the region.
