Stunning footage showcases river in China's Inner Mongolia that has never frozen over

An around 20-kilometre-long river is captured still flowing in temperatures of less than -40C at northern China's A'ershan National Forest Park on November 22.

The pretty video shows the river flowing as usual with steam rising up when everything else around it is frozen and covered in snow.

Cows were drinking water from the unfrozen river and tourists can be seen rafting down the river as well.

Since the river is located on the volcanic lava area, the geotherm means the river is too warm to freeze.
