YouthStrike4ClimateSunderland and Parents For Future Sunderland have held their fifth climate strike in Sunderland along with the Environmental Society of Sunderland University.
Students joined the climate strike action which saw the group protest outside of Sunderland Civic Centre in solidarity with the youngsters discussing environmental issues in a Sunderland Youth Council debate.
The demonstration also saw the group stand outside of Sunderland Interchange and the Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens.
The group are calling on the government and those in positions of power to take the necessary steps to tackle the climate crisis and create a better world.
