Large numbers of people turned out to vote in local elections in Hong Kong on Sunday (November 24).

The elections follow months of sometime violent protests by pro-democracy activists in Hong Kong.

Today has seen record numbers of people coming out to vote in the elections although it is unsure whether the results of the election will ease tensions in the country or provoke more protests.
