One female victim has died and two others are in critical condition after a student opened fire Thursday morning (November 14) at Saugus high school in Santa Clarita.

Police and firefighters responded to Saugus High School, about 40 miles north of Los Angeles. Initial reports from the Los Angeles County Fire Department indicated there were seven victims. That figure was later revised.

Footage is from Centurion Way, outside of the high school's campus, as police lock down the area.

The deceased victim was identified only as a female by Henry Mayo Hospital. Two male patients are in critical condition, and another patient is in good condition, according to reports.

The suspect is alive and in custody, according to reports.
