Seoul City names 18 foreigners as honorary Seoul citizens

The Seoul Metropolitan Government has named 18 foreigners from 14 countries as honorary Seoul citizens.
During the award ceremony on Wednesday,... officials said the winners had greatly contributed to connecting Seoul with their home countries... and increased awareness of multicultural families.
Mayor Park Won-soon said Seoul will continue to work to improve the livelihoods of foreign residents.
Seoul has awarded honorary citizenship to non-Koreans every year since 1958.
So far,... 853 foreigners from almost a hundred countries have been honored.
