UK tourists have 'romantic meal for two' in flooded Venice restaurant

A couple from the UK did not let the Venice flooding get in the way of their meal in Venice last night (November 12) as they were still dining in the restaurant when the water surged in.
Footage shows the table for two set with wine on ice as it's revealed the restaurant - Osteria La Busara - was flooding with water.
Yasmine Chaffer and Will Hitchmough from South Yorkshire joked: "[We're] from Sheffield, which was also flooded when we left."
Chaffer explained: "We were having a romantic meal for two in a nice restaurant in Venice.
"Halfway through the meal there was ‘Acqua Alta’ (high tide) and within 10 or so minutes the whole restaurant was flooded.
"They still served an amazing meal despite the conditions.
"The walk back to the hotel was very challenging as water over knee depth in some places."
