A nuclear nonproliferation conference in Moscow ended Saturday without a separate meeting between the envoys of North Korea and the United States.
There had been speculation U.S. Special Envoy for North Korea Mark Lambert and Jo Chol-su, the director-general of the North American department at the North's foreign ministry,... could meet on the conference's sidelines.
However, the forum closed with the two only holding a brief five-minute conversation during a reception dinner last Thursday.
Seoul's top nuclear negotiator Lee Do-hoon was also at the conference, but did not hold talks with Jo other than a quick hello and handshake.
