Trains on Seoul Subway Line 9 lengthened to 6 cars to reduce congestion on infamously busy line

All trains operated by Seoul Subway Line 9 will be lengthened to six-car trains from today as it aims to get shed its infamous title as the most crowded line in the capital.
Starting from the end of November,... the Seoul Metropolitan Government says it also plans to increase the 37 trains currently running on a typical weekday to 40.
Subway Line 9 is especially crowded during morning and evening rush hours since the trains are only four cars-long... and because it's on a golden route that stops at major transit stations at a much faster speed than other lines in Seoul.
