U.S. President Donald Trump says he will press ahead with plans to sign a limited trade truce with Chinese President Xi Jinping at a new venue,... as Chile said it couldn't host the APEC summit that was slated for later this month.
In a tweet on Thursday local time,... Trump said the two sides are "working on selecting a new site" to sign the Phase One of Trade Agreement,... or what he says is 60-percent of the total deal.
Trump added a new location will be announced soon,... emphasizing the two leaders will be there to sign it.
This comes as officials from the U.S. and China were left scrambling after Chile was forced to cancel the APEC summit,... where Trump and Xi planned to ink the deal.
