High levels of fine dust lingers until tomorrow
  • 4 years ago
Traditionally, Halloween was a day when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts and evil spirits.
The day evolved into a popular day of fun activities like trick-or-treating, carving jack-o-lanterns and festive gatherings.
Hope you all have a fun and safe night.
And certainly a clear night sky would have been the perfect backdrop to mark the day, but weather-wise, today is not that day. Smog is expected to flow in on top of yellow dust.
Both fine dust and ultrafine dust levels will increase tonight through Friday,... so stay updated with the forecast and pay extra attention to the weather advisories that are expected to be issued across the country.
Other than the blanket of dust, we have nice conditions for the time being, with cloudless skies and mild daytime highs.
Temperatures will continue to fluctuate drastically on Friday as well. Seoul kicks off the day at 9 degrees Celsius, while Busan and Jeju are expected to be slightly warmer at mid-teen readings.
As for the highs,... sunny spells will keep the mercury high.
Seoul tops out at 19 degrees, while Daegu hits 22, Busan 23 and Jeju 21 degrees Celsius.
Dry autumn conditions will linger throughout the weekend for most parts of the country except parts of Gangwon-do Province.
And it looks like similar weather patterns are seen for the first week of November as well.
I'll leave you with the weather conditions around the world.
