‘Case registered’, says CM Biren Singh on ‘govt in exile’ move by Manipur dissidents

As per reports, two dissident leaders set up Manipur’s “government in exile” in the United Kingdom on Oct 30 in the name of King Leishemba Sanajaoba. Speaking on the matter, Chief Minister of Manipur, N Biren Singh said that a case has been registered under IPC 121.
Singh said, “Government takes it very seriously and has registered a case under IPC 121 for waging war against the state. The case has been handed over to Special Crime Branch for immediate investigation. After finding the details, the case will be handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) because they are operating from other countries.”
