Manipur Polls: CM N Biren Singh casts vote in Imphal

As polling for the first phase of the Manipur Assembly Elections is underway, State Chief Minister N Biren Singh on February 28 casts his vote at a polling booth in Imphal. He is contesting from Heingang Assembly Constituency. Addressing the media, he said, “I am expecting that 75 pc people of my constituency will vote for Bharatiya Janata Party and me. BJP is expecting at least 30 out of 38 seats in the first phase. People of Manipur like PM Modi." As many as 173 candidates are in the fray for 38 Assembly Constituencies. Elections in Manipur are being held in two phases. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.
