Protesters in Iraq's Nasiriyah sing the children's anthem "Baby Shark" today (October 29) amid nationwide protests that have reportedly killed 240 people.

Footage shows a large group of demonstrators dancing and singing in unison, while Iraqi flags are being waved.

Protests started at the beginning of October due to economic hardship suffered by many of the population.

Footage circulating online showed protesters in Basra also singing the "Baby Shark" song.

One Twitter user commented: "I feel the Baby Shark song is becoming the new song of revolution Middle East."
