5 Historical Plays in NFL History

In honor of the league's 100th season, the NFL Network released its list of the 100 best plays.

1. "Immaculate Reception"
In the winning play from the 1972 AFC divisional playoff game, Pittsburgh Steelers running back Franco Harris caught a deflected pass and ran it in for a touchdown in the 4th quarter.

2. "The Catch"
The game-winning pass from Joe Montana
to Dwight Clark from the
1982 NFC Championship game sent the San Francisco 49ers
to the Super Bowl.

3. "Helmet Catch"
New York Giants receiver David Tyree
pinned the ball to his helmet to
secure a catch in the 4th quarter. The Giants defeated the New England Patriots
to win Super Bowl XLII.

4. "Music City Miracle"
Tennessee Titans receiver Kevin Dyson caught a lateral from Frank Wycheck with 16 seconds left and returned it for a 75-yard touchdown to defeat the Buffalo Bills in a 2000 AFC Wild Card game.


5. Malcolm Butler Interception
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson
threw an interception from the 1-yard line
with 26 seconds left. New England Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler jumped the route to clinch Super Bowl XLIX.
