Barisan stays mum on Tg Piai candidate after ‘tricking’ Pakatan into announcing name early

Despite the hype that Barisan Nasional would named its Tanjung Piai candidate for the by-election, no names were announced on Monday.

At the launch of the coalition’s election machinery, Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Dr Zahid Hamidi said the prospective candidate is a local and the name will be announced by Johor Umno chief Datuk Hasni Mohammed.
