Journalists in China to be tested on Xi Jinping's thoughts
  • 5 years ago
Starting next Monday, China will start testing journalists on how well they understand so-called 'Xi Jinping Thought' -- the de facto state ideology.
Announced last month, the test will use an app designed by the government to teach the Chinese leader's political philosophy to the public.
To pass, reporters will have to get at least 80 out of 100 questions correct.
Those who fail will not be issued a press pass, effectively ending their career as a journalist.
