Chana Pulao Recipe by MJ's Kitchen | English subtitled

Welcome to MJ's Kitchen & today's recipe is Chana Pulao,

Ingredients:
750 gram Rice (washed & soaked in water for ½ hour)
250 gram Chickpeas (soaked for overnight & boiled adding salt)
1 tbsp Whole Garam Masala
2~3 tbsp Mixed Pickle,
1 medium size Onion (sliced)
2 medium size Tomatoes (sliced)
Green chili,
½ cup Oil,
1 tsp Garlic Powder,
1 tsp Ginger Powder,
can be substituted with Ginger Garlic paste
1 tbsp Coriander Seeds (crushed)
1 tsp Turmeric,
1 tbsp Red Pepper Flakes
Salt to taste

Method:
- Turn on the flame & add oil to the pan.
- Add 1 medium size onion (sliced) & fry it lightly.
- Now add whole garam masala & fry it for 1 minute.
- Now add tomatoes & green chili.
- Once tomatoes are soften, add all dry spices, salt & red pepper flakes, ginger & garlic powder, crushed coriander & turmeric.
- Add a little water & fry the spices for 1 minute.
- Once spices are well fried add boiled chickpeas & pickle.
- fry it for 1~2 minutes.
- Now add water, cover it, add rice once water starts boiling.
- Water level should be 1 inch above rice.
- Once water is near to boil, add soaked rice.
- Mix it.
- Cover & let it cook
- Mix the rice once water evaporates.
- Cover & simmer for 15 minutes at low flame.
- After 15 minutes turn off the flame.
