Typhoon Hagibis hits Japan on Sunday, leaves dozens of casualties due to strong wind and rain

The most powerful typhoon to hit Japan in decades has caused nine deaths near Tokyo and left at least 15 other people missing.
Typhoon Hagibis is now in the far north of Japan, so the authorities have lifted rain and flood advisories in the Tokyo area.
The storm is expected to head out over the ocean this evening.
In Fukushima, the authorities at the damaged nuclear plant... reported irregular readings from the sensors monitoring the contaminated water.
Korea was also hit by the storm, indirectly.
It caused service to be halted on a train line near Busan after high winds damaged a bridge.
