5G-based smart factories to be applied to 1,000 local firms: gov't
  • 5 years ago
The South Korean government says it will help one-thousand small and medium sized local firms adopt so-called smart factories within the next two years.
The support plan involves providing more funds to the companies to help them achieve that goal.
The smart factories will consist of highly digitized systems and equipment, such as 5G technology and AI, that aim to improve productivity.
The government plans to create more of these facilities to boost the country's manufacturing sector.
