The nation's top nuke envoy is visiting Washington to hear from his American counterpart, details of that failed working-level talks.
Lee Do-hoon will meet Stephen Biegun during his four-day visit.
The duo will coordinate their positions and strategies on North Korea's denuclearization and building peace in the region.
Lee will also meet his Japanese counterpart, Shigeki Takizaki, and also hold a trilateral meeting with the envoys.
