Japan misses out on US$ 300 mil. in revenues from falling Korean tourists: Report

Japan's economy has been hit by a decreasing number of Korean tourists to the country over the summer... amid frayed bilateral ties
According to a report by the Korea Economic Research Institute,... the amount of lost tourism-related revenues for Japan... were estimated at around 300 million dollars in the month of July and August.
That is nearly ten-fold... compared to the losses incurred on Korea,... which were estimated at 33 million dollars.
The report was based on the number of visitors to each country as well as spending data.
During the two months,... 874-thousand Koreans visited Japan, down 27-point-6 percent on-year,... while 604-thousand Japanese traveled to Korea, up 10 from a year ago.
