Tie Hurricane Season Record.
Four new storms developed

to Jerry and Kiko.
Four new tropical cyclones formed Tuesday: Imelda and Jerry in the Atlantic Basin, and Mario and Lorena in the Eastern Pacific Basin, Via 'The Weather Channel'.
The six active storms tie
a record set back in 1992.
Back in 1971, five
tropical cyclones formed
in the Atlantic Ocean.
Then in 1974, the same number appeared in the Pacific Ocean.
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), 2019's six storms have come during peak time for activity in both oceans. .
