After surrender, what's next for Bong?

MANILA - What's next for Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. after his surrender to the Sandiganbayan? According to his lawyer Joel Bodegon, the senator is currently being booked in the Sandiganbayan sheriff's office. He said the sheriff recorded Revilla's "voluntary submission." He said Revilla is still waiting for a commitment order from the court to determine where Revilla will be detained. He earlier said his client prefers to be detained at the headquarters of the Philippine National Police in Camp Crame. Bodegon said he will file a petition for bail for his client. "If the court is minded to allow house arrest, then we will do that. We will file that appropriate motion," he said. He also said it is impractical to have daily hearings in Revilla's graft and plunder cases. Revilla, a former governor of Cavite, is one of three opposition senators tagged in the so-called P10 billion pork barrel scam allegedly masterminded by Janet Lim Napoles. He is accused of amassing P242 million from his priority development assistance funds. The senator has denied the charges, saying he does not need to steal public funds.
